I’ve just finished another game of D-Day Axis and Allies with Andy. This time I took the Allies and won. The game started well with me getting a good foothold in the East. Cherbourg also fell quiet easily. This left me with plenty of forces, spare reinforces and Andy out of reinforcements an struggling to hold ground. I was quickly able to move on St Lo and take it around turn seven of nine. Andy suffered from consistently aweful die with his panzer forces barely contribting to the battle.It was the first game we played where the Allies won. It was also the first game we played where we used the optional “tactics” rules. Coincidence? Maybe not, as the tactics available seem to favour the Allies quiet heavily.
