I’ve just taken delivery of a new Globalsat BT-338 Bluetooth GPS unit and very impressive it is too.
All the reviews say that it is a very sensitive unit and has an exceptonally quick time to fix (TTF). All I can say is that the reviews are spot on. It got a fix in about 15 seconds from a cold start in the middle of the lounge – my previous, trustworthy GPS (Garmin GPS-12) would struggle to get a fix in a window, let alone in the middle of a room.
The Bluetooth connection gets rid of a lot of the fussy wiring in the car and makes setup a snap whilst removing the risk of the wiring getting tangled in the car controls.
A great GPS and a great buy.
