Just dropped Rachel at school for her CCF Army cadet camp. They are off for a week at Barry Buddon – a large infantry training camp north of Dundee.
Before they went, the cadets took part in a large march down Union Street as part of the first Armed Forces Day celebrations.
Rachel came home from school today in her army CCF uniform. Doesn’t she look cute?

Somehow Rachel has finally managed to persuade us to let her get her ears pierced. So today Julie too her to town to have her ears mutilated.
Three hours ago I arrived back at the hotel with Rachel from Sky Venture Orlando and she hasn’t stopped grinning from ear to ear and head to toe. She says it is the best thing she’s ever done, ever!
Basically she had two two minute rotations of simulated freefall skydiving in a vertical wind tunnel blowing at up to 150 mph. She seemed to take to it very well and was flying all over the tunnel within seconds.
