Played Fantasy Flight Games’s World of Warcraft board game with Andy today. Played about 20 turns in about 3½ hours with me taking the Alliance and Andy taking the Horde. We both progressed all our characters to level III by defeating a series of quests – playing with two players meant we both took two characters and it made sense to move the round the board in pairs to more easily beat quests.
The game ended with Andy easily winning a PvP combat between our factions.
The dynamics between players in the same faction would be very interesting in a multiplayer game.
Enjoyable with lots of flavour, albeit some of the rules mechanics are a little complex to begin with.
